Because my original pieces take me so long to complete, it can come across that I'm not working. So I thought I could update you on my progress here. I used to beat myself up about not having more completed works with the amount of time I've put in, but I've realized that what I enjoy is the process.

My latest piece is one of my favorite places. I think I can speak for most people in Deland; Artisan Alley is a special place in our community. Every Friday night, Artisan Alley hosts a Farmers market where creators can set up a booth and sell their handmade goods. I chose to set a booth up in 2020 for my dog portraits. That night was a successful one for me! It gave me hope that I could draw for a living. Artisan Alley will always hold a special place in my heart because it gave me space to put myself out there. My life partner, Brian, and I enjoy spending our date nights walking the market and grabbing a bite to eat, which are also some of my favorite memories.
